For my project I was asked to design three different book covers that represented the novel The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.  Three different mockups were neccesary including focus on Typography, physical materials, and lastly designers choice. The covers are shown above. This was a tedicious process that took a lot of trial and error. My process is as shown below.
